NEW INITIATIVE Why start fresh? NATURAL HYGIENE - what is it? Definition: (NATURAL) HYGIENE is that branch of biology that relates to the preservation and restoration of health. --- "There are no cures - Nature returns to normal when enervating habits are given up." Read more In Natural Hygiene we want to teach a simple health care solution that everyone can afford. The word HYGIENE - doesn't it mean cleanliness? 
"HYGIENE" is a word derived in the 1800's from the Greek Goddess HYGIEIA (HYGIEA), with the original meaning "HEALTH". In the 1900's that word "hygiene" was hijacked by (drug-selling) medicine, and reduced to only mean "cleanliness", and just on the outside of the body. Therefore, today we use words like "NATURAL HYGIENE", "HYGIEIAN", "HYGIENISM" or "HYGIENICS". Note: Natural Hygiene is all for cleanliness, on both the inside & outside of the body, but warns about colonics & enemas, and about chemical skin-cleansers, as un-natural, un-clean & unhealthy practices. Natural Hygiene says AVOID COLON-CLEANSING! AVOID ENEMAS! AVOID COLONICS! Editorial The editorial & advisory board's fasting/hygienic doctors have over 250 years of combined professional experience. Also see INHS constitution & board. What kind of organization is INHS? INHS was started in late 2003 by a group of experienced hygienic doctors. INHS is volunteer-based, web-based, with no membership fees. The official start date was Jan 1, 2004. We have now existed several years, have attracted 1000+ members (many of them earlier hygienists) and have had great exchanges on the email list. Our Facebook page is here. "TRUST THE BODY!" is a key-word in NH. The body knows best. Let's learn about the body, its vital energy and its processes, let's provide optimal conditions, and work with the body. Let's stop using force against the body (e.g. toxic drugs). Think of Natural Hygiene as "Natural HIGH-ENergy health"! PRESENT Newcomers information - What is NH? Your expensive car comes with a manual. Wouldn't it be nice if your irreplaceable body came with a users manual? This is what NH wants to achieve. PAST Learn from the history of Natural Hygiene It might be helpful to look at the bigger picture. What made medical doctors develop Hygiene 150+ years ago? Where do the Laws of Life come from? A paradigm shift from "DISEASE IS THE PROBLEM" to "DISEASE IS THE SOLUTION". FUTURE How can NH theory and practice be developed further? Can NH contribute to a more accurate view of health and healing, and life in general? What needs to be continually added to make NH up-to-date? Or is Natural Hygiene obsolete?
